ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving! I fully expect my turkey to be dry, since I didn't have the time to do the clever prep my friend Celia recommended :-( However, I'm cheered by the fact that A) the turkey's best and highest purpose comes after today, when it's cut into sandwiches (!!!) and B) Gravy.
ReplyDeleteLove to all, and may your Thanksgiving leave you full of gratitude. I know I am.
Happy Thanksgiving wishes to all in this crowd of readers and writers. And thank you for the thoughtful and fun conversation every morning.
ReplyDeleteP/S. It's 9 degrees F in southern Maine right now, with an expected "high" of 15. Not only is this the coldest Thanksgiving Day ever, it's also colder than any Christmas Day I can recall!
ReplyDelete4 degrees when I got up this morning but it has since zoomed up to a whopping 8 degrees! I am happy to see the sun, such as it is.
DeleteThank you all for my morning fix of thoughtful prose. I love meeting the new to me authors.
ReplyDeleteJoy becomes you all. Enjoy the day; dibs on the pie.
Thank you Reds, for all of your caring and sharing and recipes too!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the Macy's parade while I cook, and I'm grateful it's not as cold in Dallas as it is in New York!!

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone! I’m trying to recover from yesterday’s cake fail - wish me luck - I hope you all have a wonderful, peaceful, and loving day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! I got up early to watch the Macy's thanksgiving parade on tv, though it looks like the news. Perhaps the parade is on tv at 9am?

ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Reds, and thank you for being eight of my favorite writers. This wonderful blog brightens and/or amuses and/or makes me think every.single.day. Don't ever quit!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and thanks for your blog and all the commentators. I watched some of the parade on CBS in the morning but saw the rerun on NBC at my sister-in-law's after dinner. She had chicken but with the regular sides. Very delicious. I bought some turkey drumsticks to make for myself and leftovers next month.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, All. Many things to be be thankful for here and the bonus that blogger is letting me post today. May those who are cold be warmed by love and laughter; may those in more temperate climes enjoy their love and laughter.
