DEBORAH CROMBIE: It's surveys surveys surveys everywhere these days! They are driving me crazy! I bought a sweater at Anthropologie last week and I just had an email pop up asking me about my experience! (Sorry about all the !!!) And of course there is every doctor's appointment, every visit to the pharmacy (and they not only want a 1 to 10 rating, they want an essay after each question! (More !!!) Even the specialty dog food company sends a questionaire at least once a week. "How is your pup doing?" (My pup is doing fine or I wouldn't keep ordering your expensive dogfood!)
Do the surveys drive you crazy, too? Do you take the time to answer them? And do you think anyone actually reads them? Before my six week follow up appointment after my back surgery, I had to fill out a LONG questionaire with essay questions. When I went to my appointment, I asked the PA if anyone actually looked at these. He said, a little reluctantly, "Well, they get collated..." And filling this out took a couple of hours out of my day??
So, in the spirit of inclusivity, I thought it would be fun to do a little JRW survey of our own. Answer as many as you please--or not!! But I promise we WILL read your comments!
1) How often do you read JRW?
2) When do you read JRW? If it's in the morning, do you come back later in the day? (Those of us not in EST would love for you to say "yes!")
3)What features do you like best on the blog: Guest posts? Our essays? Our What We're Writing Week? Our occasional We Aim to Ruin Your Budget (aka our What We're Reading posts?) Our little cooking adventures?
4) If you are on Facebook, have you joined our Red and Readers Facebook group?
5) If so, have you enjoyed our Happy Hour LIVE chats?
6) Is there something you'd like to see more of on the blog?
7) And lastly, we know there are a lot of readers who never comment. We LOVE hearing from you--should we do more Reader Check-ins?
Thanks in advance from The Management!
